This page has the most common football scores of 2010. So, there is a tie for the most common score of 2010: 14 to 17, and 23 to 20, both of which happened 6 times. This chart shows the most commone football score TOTAL of 2010. I'm only showing scores that happened three times or more:

And now, here is the most common total score of 2010. This was a strange year, because USUALLY the top score is 42 or something close to that. This year 30 was the top score of the entire year! Although 43 tied for second place, so I think a safe bet for your "total score" picks would be to use 43. Again, I'll only show total scores that happened at least three times. Here is the chart:
